Marketing and Representation Services

Sales Solicitation Calls

A regular programme of personal sales calls on specialist travel agencies, tour operators, corporate travel managers, associations, conference and meetings planners, incentive organisers, transportation companies and other potential sources of new business to:

  • develop business and generate "leads"
  • foster goodwill
  • gather market intelligence

Each call is recorded in detail for onward transmission to our clients.

Tour Wholesaler Liaison

Regular contact with main-line and special interest operators to influence them to feature clients in their tour programmes or to extend the level of coverage. We routinely provide clients with a comprehensive analysis of content and extent of tour operators' programmes featuring their products.

Distribution of Sales Literature

Selective and systematic distribution of a client's promotional material (brochures, posters, videos, CDs, sales manuals) is an important and essential service. Care is taken to avoid indiscriminate distribution which can be both costly and wasteful.

Travel Industry Education

Includes organisation of workshops, seminars, teach-ins, clinics, lectures and road shows. Activities can also be directed at the consumer market.

Trade Fairs and Exhibitions

Clients' interests can be represented at trade (and consumer) fairs and exhibitions. Services can include designing and/or operating a client's exhibit or attending as an observer. Similar services can be provided at major industry Conferences or Conventions.

Incentive Travel

Personal contact for our clients with leading specialist incentive travel companies and major corporations.

Conferences, Meetings and Group Traffic

Creative marketing aimed at developing business meetings, conferences, conventions, ad hoc group movements and other types of bulk travel is one of our specialties.

Product Familiarisation Tours

Familiarisation tours, study tours and site inspection visits are organised on a regular basis to expose a client's product to the most appropriate sectors of the travel trade.

Marketing Intelligence and Activity Reports

A report schedule - covering marketing activities, results achieved and future plans - is part of most contracts. Clients are also up-dated regularly on trends and developments in the market place. Basic marketing intelligence is automatically included in the activity report and additional information is provided via our quarterly in-house market review, "Market Information from UK/Europe".

Liaison with Carriers

Regular contact is maintained with carriers serving a client's destination(s). Care is taken to involve carriers in product familiarisation tour planning, special promotions and other appropriate events.

Internet Exposure

Specialist advice is available on how best to promote clients' products via the internet and on electronic marketing, generally.

A 'London' base

The facilities of our Central London Office are always available to visiting clients. As and when necessary, we will organise a visiting client's sales programme and itinerary and, by arrangement, accompany the client on sales calls. Personnel can be based in our premises, permanently or semi-permanently.

Public Relations and Media Services

Editorial Coverage

Every effort is made to develop favourable media exposure. Original feature material is prepared and distributed appropriately; material prepared by clients is re-issued as necessary.

News Releases

These are produced and distributed on a regular and systematic basis, subject only to the availability of suitable newsworthy material. We have an extensive media mailing list and wide-ranging personal contacts which are used to maximise utilisation of news items disseminated.

Newsletters

Newsletters reflecting a client’s own image and identity can be written, produced and distributed (electronically, by fax or mail, as appropriate) to applicable target audiences - media, consumer and travel trade. Production and distribution of house-bulletins, sales letters and personalised direct mail programmes can also be organised.

Press Clippings Service

An efficient press clippings service is operated to provide clients with an overview of the market’s perception of their products and to monitor the effectiveness of press releases and feature material distributed.

Special Promotions

Experienced associates organise special promotions of all types including, for example, television game-show prizes, newspaper readers’ competitions, in-store and other consumer promotions and publicity events.

Media Inspection Visits

Organised media visits, to enable selected publications and journalists to experience the product first hand, are an important feature of our media relations programmes.

Advertising Campaigns

We can provide general recommendations on the themes and media-mix most appropriate to a specific campaign and then work closely with appointed advertising agencies to ensure proper execution of all assignments. We will also manage campaigns on a client’s behalf.

Image Promotion

We specialise in the development of brand name awareness and image promotion.

Other Specialist Services

We are able to provide, in-house or via long-standing associates, virtually every other marketing-related service which an overseas travel principal might reasonably expect of its own local Sales, Marketing or Public Relations office, including - amongst other activities:-

Tourism Information Service

Provision to trade, media and consumer of comprehensive information on a resort’s, hotel’s or destination’s amenities, facilities, attractions and potential; handling enquiries; regular analysis of all requests; brochure fulfilment; development of special reference manuals; compilation of photographic and video libraries.

Reservations

Although many represented hotels receive the majority of their reservations via Global Distribution Systems we can also provide our own supplementary Immediate-confirmation-of-reservations Service. This service offers a number of features which the GDS cannot - like for example, in-depth personal knowledge of each property - and can organise those “special extras” so important to regular travellers:- suite bookings, champagne or flowers on arrival, limousine or helicopter transfers, tee-off times for golfers, and so on.

When necessary, through our relationship with a major multi GDS provider, we can also arrange on-line connections to all the major Global Distribution Systems.

General Consultancy and Advice

We can provide advice and assistance on all marketing and management subjects relating to the travel, tourism and hotel industries. In addition to advice on marketing per se, specialist advice is also available on research, design of promotional material, general public relations, consumer affairs, advertising, recruitment and management.

Technical Assistance

Suitably experienced personnel are available, part or full-time, to assist clients and international aid agencies with local and overseas technical assistance projects.
